Eight people, five timezones, three opinions per restaurant — group travel is a logistical puzzle most apps weren't built for. TripLinq is a collaborative trip planner designed around how groups actually decide: someone drops a Pinterest board, someone else finds a flash deal, the planner-friend sketches a rough route, and the rest react with hearts and "looks expensive."

We rebuilt that flow into a single workspace. Every friend on your trip can pin destination ideas, vote on dates with a tap, and add suggestions to a shared ideas board. Once dates lock, the same app becomes your itinerary, your shared budget, and your offline voucher wallet — so the spreadsheet, the Splitwise account, and the seventeen browser tabs all collapse into one trip your whole group can actually see.

Group trips are full of decisions that quietly disappear into the chat: the Airbnb someone linked on Tuesday, the restaurant your friend who lives in Lisbon recommended, the "we should rent a car right?" question nobody answered. TripLinq's ideas board pins those decisions on the trip itself. Friends drop activity suggestions with a tag, react with hearts, and whoever owns the trip promotes the winners onto the timeline. The result is a single source of truth instead of a 600-message backscroll — when someone joins late, they catch up in 90 seconds.

Polls are baked into the trip, not bolted on. Throw four candidate weekends at the group, watch the votes come in, and lock the date with one tap. Same flow for destinations (Lisbon or Porto?), neighborhoods (Bairro Alto or Alfama?), and tonight's dinner spot. Because votes live on the trip — not buried in WhatsApp — late deciders see the running count and can change their pick without scrolling back through a 200-message thread.

The painful part of group travel isn't paying for things — it's reconciling them afterward. TripLinq's expense splitter logs shared spending as it happens. Pay in euros for the Airbnb, pesos for the cooking class, dollars for that last airport bagel — each one converts using a snapshot exchange rate, so settlements don't drift when the market does. Split equally, by share (the two who took the suite pay double), or by exact amount. Then the settlement engine collapses everything into the fewest possible transfers: Sam owes you €124, Maya owes Sam €38, done. Export the whole ledger as a PDF if your group runs a trip-CFO account.

Group trips have one inevitable phase: somebody books the flight, somebody else books the hotel, a third person buys the snorkeling tickets. Instead of retyping it all into a doc, anyone can forward the confirmation email or paste the booking text. TripLinq's AI extracts the flight number, hotel address, check-in time, and total cost, and slots it into the right day of the trip. Vouchers are cached on-device, so the QR code at the museum still works when airport wifi doesn't.
